Window Sills are a Must for Holiday Window Cleaning

Family coming over for the Holidays? Hosting the in-laws for turkey and football?

What will your mother-in-law say when she sees your windows?

How about those window sills? Hopefully they are not full of cobwebs and dust but if they are, we’re here to help.

If you only ask your window cleaner to do the exterior or if you ARE the window cleaner, here are some tips to get those sills sparkling for the Holidays

Window Cleaning Tips

  1. Start with a quality window cleaner spray.
  2. Spray liberally
  3. Before you wipe it down, make sure to brush to dislodge any dirt and/or goo.
  4. Use a squeegee for a streak free shine
  5. Finally, use microfiber towel to clean up any remaining streaks.

….beautiful!

But WAIT!!

Don’t make the amateur mistake of neglected the window sills!

How to Clean Window Sills

  1. With a damp cloth, wipe down the outside of the window frame and the sills.
  2. Next, take an old tooth brush (or your mother-in-laws tooth brush…just kidding, don’t do that) and get any dirt stuck in the sill tracks.
  3. Lastly, spray a cleaner on the track and sill lightly, give one more wipe with that clothe and you are done!

  5. Next, take an old tooth brush (or your mother-in-laws tooth brush…just kidding, don’t do that) and get any dirt stuck in the sill tracks.

Make sure the only thing she complains about this year, is the mash potatoes somebody forgot to bring.

Have a happy and safe holiday season!
